It’s the middle of July, and I’m trying to shape up my butt to look like two planets (I mean, according to Jason DeRulo and Snoop
Dogg Lion? that’s the new thing right?! lol) Seriously, what is up with that song? I had to text one of my young and hip friends to find out what “go ham sammich” even means!
What better way to work your bum than in a pair of sun-setting (aptly-named the Cloud Hot Pant) Teekis? All joking aside, these pants are incredible for two reasons. First, they are made of recycled plastic bottles (I’m a tree-hugger y’all!) Second, for Teeki’s being made of recycled plastic, they fit well, breathe well, and will probably end up being your favorite pair of pants. Good news for us, Petra of Fitness Culture in Kansas City keeps them well-stocked in her boutique, in plenty of colors and print options.

Have I mentioned how much I love ice cream cones? And books? I love a good book club, and feel like I can throw a tunic on over my workout gear and spend some quality time with my
Hurry in to Fitness Culture to grab your pair of eco-friendly Teeki pants – they tend to sell out quickly!
Fitness Culture also keeps the Lali Wrap in stock, in multiple colors. It’s super-soft and has an endless amount of ways to wear it.
Looking for a great Pilates Studio (I’m personally a big Pilates fan)? Check out Pilates by Kahley, located at 123rd & Metcalf. We had a chance to join her for a quick session and I am still feeling muscles I forgot I had lol! She’s got a great space, and she’s super personable (if you’ve ever had an instructor that wasn’t, you’d understand how important this is!)
Meg and I (with Sarah of One Sparrow Creative) got together to tour Kahley’s studio – go check out ChasingDavies.com to see how she takes her yoga-wear, adds a few pieces and heads to happy hour with friends.
She has also graciously offered three lucky readers a chance to win an entire month of classes – for FREE! This is amazing (and I wish I could enter!) Even if you aren’t living in Kansas City, or if you hate Pilates (I’m sure she could change your mind on that) please enter – you can pass it on to a friend, a sister or heck, even a brother who might be in the area. Good luck!
