Yesterday was a balmy 56 and so I grabbed my favorite camo jacket and spent as much time outside as I could. I was wearing this exact camo jacket the other day when one of the youth at church complimented me on it. I mean, be still my beating heart; I think I felt 20-something again.
I paid more for this jacket than I care to admit, though I still got in on sale (what used to be Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale.) I’ve worn it so many times, my CPW is less than $1. While I appreciate the buttery soft feel of real leather, these sleeves are leather’s friendlier polyurethane (think vinyl, pleather, vegan leather<eyeroll>.) Completely machine washable, this jacket has held up well and I’m wearing it for the second year in a row. The brand is BCBGeneration and the tag UPC is 767336523138. There is a similar one at Target, but I’m not sure how good the sleeves will look. I will be sure to tweet out any similar jackets I find as I shop for my clients.
Lastly, I’d like to admit something: I like that this jacket makes me feel edgy. I just don’t ever want to look like a boring soccer mom. I know I’m not the only one that feels that way, I’m probably just the only one willing to say it out loud.
